Quartz Glass Plates / Sheets

We provide quartz glass plates / sheets with sizes ranging from a few millimeters to more than 1500 mm in length according to your requirements. According to different application areas, we produce sheets of various materials. Also in terms of surface finish and tolerances, our extensive processing capabilities enable us to meet the individual needs of our customers (cutting, milling, grinding, grinding, polishing). According to the required tolerances and edge quality, we cut the sheet to the required size by machinery, water jet or laser. Or, we can provide you with standard size quartz plates as raw materials for your further internal processing.

Quartz Glass Plates / Sheets

Quartz glass plate is a highly refined product. We use a specific manufacturing process to produce the highest quality quartz plates. Our unique combination of using the best raw materials and strict and precise manufacturing processes enables us to provide industrial/R&D grade quartz substrates. Our manufacturing technology includes the use of high-quality fused and polished quartz wafers.

In addition to various round materials such as quartz glass tubes and quartz glass rods, our company's product series also include quartz glass plates. Due to its excellent chemical resistance, good optical properties and extremely high temperature resistance, the sheet is particularly suitable for applications where heat treatment must be performed and monitored.

Therefore, our quartz glass plate can be used as a sight glass in a high-temperature furnace. Due to its high UV transmittance, quartz glass plates are also used in UV systems, where components must be protected from dust or gas or must be cooled in a specific way.

In optical applications, synthetic quartz glass, so-called fused silica, is mainly used. Among other things, these plates are used as object carriers or microscope glasses and laser optics.

Optical quartz glass sheet has its own unique optical properties. It can not only transmit far ultraviolet rays, which is the best of all ultraviolet transparent materials, but also transmit visible light and near infrared spectrum. Because the quartz glass is resistant to high temperatures, has a very small thermal expansion coefficient, good chemical stability, bubbles, streaks, uniformity, and birefringence are comparable to ordinary optical glass, so it has high stable optical coefficients when working in various harsh environments and is the indispensable optical materials. According to its optical performance, it can be divided into three categories:

Far ultraviolet type JGS1:

Transparent in the ultraviolet and visible spectrum; no absorption band in the 185-250nm band; strong absorption band in the 2600-2800nm band; non-luminous, stable light radiation.

Ultraviolet JGS2:

Transparent in the ultraviolet and visible spectrum; no absorption band in the 200-250nm band; strong absorption band in the 2600-2800nm band; non-luminous, stable light radiation.

Infrared JGS3:

It is transparent in the visible and infrared spectrum; there is no obvious absorption band in the 2600-2800nm band. Compared with ordinary silicate glass, transparent quartz glass has excellent transmission performance over the entire wavelength head. In the infrared region, the spectral transmittance is larger than that of ordinary glass; in the visible region, the transmittance of quartz glass is also relatively high. In the ultraviolet spectral region, especially in the short-wave ultraviolet region, the spectral transmission is much better than other glasses.

The spectral transmittance is affected by three factors: reflection, scattering and absorption.

The reflection of quartz glass is generally 8%, the ultraviolet region is larger, and the infrared region is smaller. Therefore, the transmittance of quartz glass is generally not more than 92%. The scattering of quartz glass is relatively small and can generally be ignored. Spectral absorption is closely related to the impurity content of quartz glass and the production process.
